Assessment Activity 3: Making a clickable Flash Advertisement

For this part of this Assessment Activity we had to make a flash advertisement that took you too a website when the add was clicked on. The website is real but as far as I know the numbers not.

The goal of this Assessment Activity was to test our ability to animate to a soundtrack by recording spoken dialogue of up to 10 secs. Then Use the recorded dialogue as a basis for animation.

The 7 Deadly Sins Assessment Activity. We had to make a custom photo slide-show with background sound based on photos we used reflecting the theme of "Seven Deadly Sins". This was my masterpiece!

Animation Learning Activity 8: Animate a verb

Here we had to choose a verb and animate it consistent with its meaning and try to incorporate gravity, momentum or collision into the animation.

Learning Activity 7: Nancy's Windmill Cottages

The aim of this exercise was to develop an animation used as a promotional tool for a cottage accommodation business called Nancy's Windmill Cottages. The only requirement that we had to abide by was to have the windmill blades rotating.

Animation Learning Activity 6: Custom Tween Curves

For this activity we had to use one of our tweening examples from activity 5 but edit it with the motioncurve tool to alter it's movement.

Animation Learning Activity 1: Drawing in Flash

This was my first ever attempt at drawing in flash. It's just a very basic boat, but hopefully I lean how to use more of flash by the end of the module so I can do a lot better.

This here is the wire-frame mock up web page that I came up with. The idea was to crate a template for a web page in photoshop that matched the template we had been given to work with. I had to re-submit a couple of times to get the design integrity right, but Chris was right and it did make a big difference in the end.

The goal of this activity was to maintain the subject in focus and blur the background. The mad jogger was my favourite, mainly because you can see the effect and have a laugh at it as well.

Make a logo with transparency and place it on a web page. A Pretty simple design but effective. Mabe I should have made it a bit bigger though.

Making background images for web pages was the goal of this activity.

Here are the background images I used.

Method 1 the graffiti was an image I found which looked pretty cool.

Method 2 was used from my flatbed scanner activity.

Method 4 was one i came up with from a small pattern.

Method 5 was a tile I made that was reduplicated to fill the page.

This activity allowed us to practice making selections, working with layers, creating Layer Masks, using the gradient tool. We needed a hero shot to use on an online trading website to sell one of our sacred possessions.

Activity 6

With this activity we had to use the quick mask tool in photoshop to drag a car into a new scene from the original setting. Then the job was to remove any unnecessary objects using the rubber-stamp tool.

For this Activity we had to Take a photo at dusk or low light and another during high-noon in full sunlight.
Then we had to use the adjustment of layers/curves and levels in photoshop to enhance the copies so there is detail in the shadows and detail in the highlights.

This activity had us take a bunch of photos and pick 4 that we could use to express the following reasons to crop an image.

Photo 1: Emphasize part of the image to give it more importance

Photo 2: Change the composition by moving the subject out of dead center

Photo 3: Change the orientation by making a horizontal image vertical

Photo 4: Eliminate distracting parts of the photo

Here are my creations for Learning Activity 5: Positive and Negative Space. We had to use negative space to visually interpret a subject. I chose the subjects smoke, clouds and ice cream cone. Down the bottom are what I thought were the best of each subject, but my favourite is the person smoking a cigarete.

Here's my images I made with the blocks for Learning Activity 4: The Black Square Problem. We had to express the meaning of each of the six words, and at the bottom my six favourites from them.
